On the Road with Penguin Classics - Series 4

Another series of On The Road with Penguin Classics in which Henry and I met a brilliant set of people and visited some truly amazing places.

  • Shirley Jackson’s We Have Always Lived in the Castle with the journalist and biographer Ruth Franklin in North Bennington, Vermont.

  • John Donne's poetry and prose with the scholar and children's author Katharine Rundell in London.

  • James Baldwin’s Giovanni’s Room with the novelist Caryl Phillips in Paris, France.

  • William Blake’s Songs of Innocence and of Experience at home with the novelist Philip Pullman.
