The Empathy Museum: Health Equals x A Mile in My Shoes

In the summer of 2024, The Empathy Museum commissioned the writer Daljeet Jutla and I to produce a new audio portrait for the latest iteration of their A Mile in My Shoes exhibition. We spoke to Angela Fonso from Clean Air for Southall and Hayes who told us about her and her neighbours’ battle against air pollution and environmental racism in their area of west London.

Angela’s story was one of a new series The Empathy Museum created togther with the campaign network Health Equals and it was hosted at the 2024 Labour Party Conference to bring stories of health inequalities to politicans and attendees at the event.
